Customer satisfaction with Verizon wireless service is on the upswing, according to a new survey from Vocal Laboratories. The just released study, based on consumers surveyed in 2012, showed that 73 percent of Verizon customers were very satisfied with service, up 10 percent from 2011.
Customer satisfaction rates for other wireless providers showed slight declines. Satisfaction with AT&T's wireless service fell four points to 61 percent in 2012. Sprint declined one point to 62 percent, while only 55 percent of T-Mobile customers were satisfied with service, down three points.
"Our survey data goes back to 2009, and Verizon has had the best-rated customer service representatives every year, but Verizon customers often reported it was hard to reach a person," said Peter Leppik, CEO, Vocalabs, in a statement. "In 2012, our survey data shows a big improvement in the ease of reaching a person at Verizon customer service, and that really plays to the company's strength."
