Twilio Partners with Google to Deliver Twilio CX for Chromebooks

Twilio has announced a collaboration with Google to deliver enterprise communications solutions on Chromebooks for Business. Known as Twilio CX for Chromebooks, the product combines Twilio's software and cloud-based communications platform and voice minutes with a Google Chromebook for Business and voice headset from Plantronics.

With the announcement, enterprises of all sizes can now eliminate much of the costly and complex telecommunications hardware and desktop phones needed to run typical enterprise communications systems. Twilio CX also enables organizations to take advantage of a new and more agile approach to communications, and build more contextual customer experiences. Twilio partner LiveOps is the first to bring the Twilio CX offering to market as part of their LiveOps Engage and LiveOps Voice Advantage for Salesforce solutions.

Twilio CX consists of:

  • Twilio Client with its WebRTC capabilities, enabling browsers to be             turned into complete communications solutions.
  • 7,500 Twilio minutes per month.
  • Google Chromebook for Business: A Chromebook including management and support, allowing businesses of any size to deploy, scale and manage Chrome devices.
  • Plantronics headset, for a high quality voice calling experience.

       

   

Twilio CX is available for a monthly subscription fee via Twilio partners. The combination enables enterprises to turn capex to opex, lowering a company's hardware footprint.

LiveOps will leverage Twilio CX to eliminate costly physical phones and desktop computers and transform the $2 billion enterprise contact center market. The LiveOps offering enables enterprises of all sizes to rapidly deploy a highly scalable, reliable, and multichannel contact center in the cloud.
