ShoreTel has been working with StarLeaf, a provider of video conferencing services, to integrate video collaboration for multiple users with ShoreTel Connect CLOUD.
To add to the rich UC feature set, a ShoreTel conference can now be audio or video with multiple users. ShoreTel Connect CLOUD users can schedule meetings from within the Connect client that includes a link to join a video conference. Users, including ShoreTel Connect ONSITE and external participants, can then join the video conference with one simple click from within the Connect client.
"ShoreTel is focused on creating a holistic and intuitive user experience across the complete UC stack," said Eugenia Corrales, senior vice president of product at ShoreTel, in a statement. "With our rollout of video collaboration for ShoreTel Connect CLOUD, we are delivering seamless visual communications and business collaboration. We are excited to offer our customers robust cloud video conferencing functionality through StarLeaf's industry-leading OpenCloud platform."
"StarLeaf and ShoreTel each provide unique value propositions for customers that want to move to the cloud for all their communications needs," said Mark Loney, CEO of StarLeaf, in a statement. "With thousands of people relying on ShoreTel's cloud communications solutions every day, our relationship will support those customers who want to fast-track the adoption of video throughout their business, while benefiting from a seamless environment that delivers ease of use, centralized management and low cost of ownership."
StarLeaf has joined the ShoreTel TechConnect program. TechConnect is a global technology and developer partner program that extends ShoreTel solution capabilities beyond its current product portfolio. Through TechConnect, ShoreTel and StarLeaf will support customers as they expand and enhance current ShoreTel UC deployments with the addition of tightly integrated video conferencing.
