Nomi, an in-store analytics startup led by former executives from Salesforce.com and Buddy Media, have entered into a partnership with Branding Brand, a mobile commerce platform that powers sites and apps for more than 100 retailers.
When a customer enters a retail location with their smartphone, Nomi uses the store’s Wi-Fi infrastructure to detect the customer’s presence and notify the retailer of their preferences. The retailer can then leverage those preferences to personalize the shopping experience through a sales associate or Branding Brand’s mobile application.
The new partnership allows retailers to develop brand specific, omnichannel apps that integrate Nomi’s SDK and enhance the in-store shopping experience. This exclusively opt-in solution offers loyal customers the chance to receive VIP service, rewards, and offers from their favorite retailers. When a customer downloads a retailer’s branded app and opts-in to the program, Nomi Engage leverages point of service, e-commerce, CRM, and loyalty data to develop customer profiles and preferences that enable a seamless omni-channel experience.
